Fatal Crash: 45-Year-Old Hartford Woman Hit By Vehicle

A 45-year-old Connecticut woman was killed after being hit by a car on a busy roadway.

The crash took place in Hartford County around 9 p.m., Monday, July 17 in the area of 515 Albany Ave., Hartford.

According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police, when officers arrived, they located Marta Llanos, of Hartford, in the roadway, suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Officers began life-saving measures until the arrival of EMS. Llanos was transported to St. Francis Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Boisvert said.

The vehicle involved remained on scene and the operator is cooperating with the investigation.

A full accident reconstruction is being conducted by the Hartford Police Crime Scene Division.
